Interview takes a sudden turn as Trump shuts down and ends the call when freshly leaked Epstein photos are brought up

President Donald Trump abruptly ended an interview on Tuesday after being questioned about newly surfaced images showing Jeffrey Epstein at his 1993 wedding to Marla Maples.
The exchange took place during a phone interview with CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski, who asked Trump about photos obtained by the network’s KFile team. The images, reportedly previously unpublished, show the late financier at the former president’s wedding reception at the Plaza Hotel in New York. Another picture from the same year shows Epstein speaking to Trump and his children at a Harley-Davidson café event.
Trump cut the call short after Kaczynski brought up the photos, ending the conversation in under a minute. “When I mentioned the wedding photo, there was a pause, then he said, ‘you’ve got to be kidding me,’ called CNN ‘fake news,’ and hung up,” Kaczynski said later on-air.
CNN anchor Erin Burnett highlighted the significance of the images during Tuesday night’s broadcast, noting they had not been publicly seen before. The network emphasized that the photos came from archived footage of public events.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung dismissed the story, stating, “These are out-of-context snapshots from large public events, twisted to suggest something sinister. The president ejected Epstein from his club years ago for inappropriate behavior. This is yet another recycled smear pushed by the liberal media and Democrats.”
The brief but charged exchange underscores the continued scrutiny over Trump’s past associations with Epstein, whose connections to powerful individuals remain a source of public controversy even years after his death.
