Stranded with no way home—MAGA celebrities trapped in Israel as missiles fly overhead

Two high-profile U.S. figures—CNN commentator Scott Jennings and Olympian Caitlyn Jenner—are currently stuck in Israel as tensions in the region have escalated into open conflict between Israel and Iran.
Israel’s government shut down Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv on Thursday following a military strike on Iran that Israeli officials labeled “preemptive.” The attack reportedly killed several Iranian military commanders. Iran responded with hundreds of ballistic missiles launched overnight toward Israel, though Israeli sources claim most were intercepted.
“Don’t think I am getting out of Israel today!” Jennings wrote on X Friday morning. “But will continue to report on what I see and hear.”
Friends – will be off TV this week as I journey through Israel. Already, what I’ve seen has been incredibly moving as a Christian and as a defender of the Jewish people and the Nation of Israel. 🎗 pic.twitter.com/lMoaEX0dpB

The situation gained more attention when Daily Mail reported that both Jennings and Caitlyn Jenner were unable to leave the country. Jennings shared the article with a lighthearted comment: “This headline is an all-time mad lib.” Jenner replied simply, “Good company.”
Jennings had posted earlier in the week, on June 9, that he was taking a break from CNN to “journey through Israel.” Jenner, who has long been outspoken in her support for former President Donald Trump, arrived in Tel Aviv on Wednesday to attend the city’s annual Pride parade, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As the violence escalated, Jennings told Daily Mail he was moved to a secure location once the missile sirens began. In videos posted to X, he described “hearing booms in the distance,” adding, “Iran missile attacks, I presume.”
Jenner, 75, gave an interview to an Israeli station on Friday morning, sharing that she had spoken with her daughter, Kylie Jenner. “I’ll keep myself safe, and they’ll take care of me,” she said.
Later, Jenner posted a photo of herself at the Western Wall with the caption, “My heart is with Israel now and forever. Evil shall not prevail!” She also uploaded an image showing the Tel Aviv sky during the missile attacks, writing, “Pray for us all.”
Both Jenner and Jennings are prominent Trump supporters. Despite the escalation, Trump appeared to endorse the Israeli airstrikes, calling them “excellent” on Friday. Meanwhile, the U.S. military has since been involved in helping Israel intercept incoming missiles from Iran.

The conflict has intensified already strained geopolitics in the region. Though Israel described its initial action as defensive, the attack on Iranian military targets was significant enough to provoke a large-scale response, escalating fears of a broader war.
