Elon Musk’s PAC hit with another class-action suit for not paying promised $100 to voters

A second class-action lawsuit has been filed against Elon Musk’s America PAC, accusing the organization of failing to compensate voters as promised for participating in a petition campaign tied to former President Trump’s 2024 reelection effort.
This latest legal action was brought by three individuals from Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Georgia. They filed on behalf of themselves and others in similar situations, claiming that they were not fully paid for signing the petition—or for referring other voters to sign it. The petition itself focused on rallying support for the First and Second Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
America PAC, which is affiliated with Musk, originally promised that anyone who signed the petition—and referred others to do so—would receive $47 per signature and referral. Later, that number increased to $100, but only for voters living in key battleground states ahead of the presidential election.
However, the plaintiffs say the money never came. According to the lawsuit, they signed the petition and helped others do the same, but were left unpaid. One of them, Steven Reid, says he worked directly as a canvasser for the PAC in both Michigan and Georgia. He claims to have referred “many voters” and repeatedly tried to collect payment—but received nothing in return.
Reid now estimates that he is owed thousands of dollars, according to the complaint.
“Plaintiffs are in communication with numerous others who referred voters to sign the America PAC petition, who are likewise frustrated that they did not receive full payments for their referrals,” the suit reads.
This marks the second time America PAC has faced a lawsuit over alleged nonpayment. Just last month, a Pennsylvania man—filing anonymously—alleged that he was owed $20,000 by the group for collecting petition signatures. He also said he made repeated attempts to get in touch with the organization but got no response.
“to no avail.”
In response to the first lawsuit, a spokesperson for America PAC denied any wrongdoing and insisted that the organization remains committed to paying “every legitimate petition signature.” But the group has remained silent regarding this new legal complaint, declining to offer any comment when approached.
Musk’s involvement has also drawn fresh scrutiny because, in the final stretch of the election campaign, he separately announced a daily $1 million giveaway to petition signers. The only condition: participants had to be registered voters. That offer quickly raised eyebrows, with legal experts questioning its validity. A separate class-action lawsuit filed in November claimed the giveaway was fraudulent, asserting that “it was predetermined who would win.”
The growing number of legal complaints puts both Musk and America PAC under increased pressure as questions mount over financial transparency, electoral influence, and potential fraud.
