‘Complicit in war’: Tucker Carlson turns on Trump after Iran strikes, posts dramatic final newsletter

Tucker Carlson is raising alarms over the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, warning that the world may be on the brink of war. In a newsletter sent out Friday via his media platform, Carlson referred to it as potentially the “final newsletter before all-out war” in response to Israel’s recent strikes.
Carlson did not hold back in pointing fingers, directly accusing former President Donald Trump of playing a role in the unfolding conflict. He labeled Trump as “complicit” in what he characterized as Israel’s “act of war.” Hours after Israeli forces carried out coordinated strikes targeting Iran’s top nuclear site and multiple military locations, Trump took to Truth Social to praise what he described as an “excellent” move by Israel. Meanwhile, Iran responded by labeling the attack a “declaration of war.”
“This Could Be the Final Newsletter Before All-Out War,” the newsletter’s title warned, setting the tone before delving into the specifics of the airstrikes. Carlson’s team laid out how the operation unfolded, emphasizing the risk of a larger regional escalation following Iran’s vow to retaliate against any country that interfered with its nuclear program.
“On Thursday, Iran’s president threatened to ‘destroy’ any country that eliminates his government’s nuclear facilities. Now, the world will learn what that looks like,” the newsletter stated.
Carlson’s outlet also cast doubt on claims from U.S. officials, particularly Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who insisted the United States was not involved in the strikes. The newsletter questioned that narrative, pointing out the U.S.’s long-standing military support for Israel.
“While the American military may not have physically perpetrated the assault, years of funding and sending weapons to Israel, which Donald Trump just bragged about on Truth Social, undeniably place the U.S. at the center of last night’s events. Washington knew these attacks would happen. They aided Israel in carrying them out. Politicians purporting to be America First can’t now credibly turn around and say they had nothing to do with it. Our country is in deep,” the newsletter reads.
Carlson went on to criticize Trump directly. “Despite being complicit in the act of war, the president hopes last night’s events will help his ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran. Steve Witkoff was scheduled to participate in the next round of talks on Sunday, but whether that will still happen is up in the air,” he wrote.
Referencing a quote from Trump about the strikes potentially scaring parties away from future diplomacy, Carlson questioned how the entire situation benefits the U.S. “It’s worth taking a step back and wondering how any of this helps the United States,” the newsletter reads. “We can’t think of a single way.”
