Billionaire tech mogul and Trump ally Elon Musk is being hilariously roasted online after a close-up photo of his notepad — featuring the words “Top Secret!!” written in blue pen — surfaced following a recent Trump administration cabinet meeting.

The meeting, held Thursday, marked the first time the cabinet reconvened since President Donald Trump announced his intention to implement broad tariffs on key U.S. trade partners.

“Everyone at this table is doing an incredible job,” Trump said during the meeting. “By the way, I have to say, incredible. And the relationships are — it’s like they’re friends. The relationships are very strong, really good, really strong. And these meetings are very good.”

Elon Musk, who was seated at the table, spoke about progress made by DOGE — the fictional-sounding but apparently real government agency he oversees. According to Musk, DOGE focuses on eliminating inefficiencies across federal departments.

“Thanks to [Trump’s] fantastic leadership, this amazing cabinet and the very talented DOGE team, I’m excited to announce that we anticipate savings in fiscal year 26 from reduction of waste and fraud by $150 billion,” Musk said at the meeting.

But despite the big-money announcement, the internet zeroed in on something much smaller — the billionaire’s notepad, which had “Top Secret!!” scribbled in blue ink and underlined twice, causing immediate and widespread mockery online.

“He 100% wrote it himself with that pen,” joked one user on Twitter/X

“Underlined twice, two exclamation points. The most top secret,” said another.

“The most Top Secret stuff is written in ball point pen,” another added, complete with a thumbs up emoji.

“They wrote that to make him feel includeded! [sic],” someone else chimed in.

The internet, as always, was quick to react. The image sparked memes and jokes across platforms like Reddit, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) — further cementing Musk’s position as both a power player and an ongoing meme target.

For a man who’s the CEO of Tesla (tesla.com) and SpaceX, and increasingly involved in U.S. politics, it seems not even a doodled note can escape the eyes of online sleuths.
